Editorial Policy
This policy explains how dennys.menu researches, writes, and updates independent Denny’s menu guides. We publish it so readers and reviewers can see how the site is built and why a page exists.
Our Standard
Every main guide should answer a real guest question in complete sentences: what is on the plate, what it usually costs, how many calories it has, and what to confirm at the restaurant. Headlines alone are not enough. Tables and FAQs support the article; they do not replace it.
We write original copy. We do not scrape a competitor and republish it. When we quote a public nutrition figure or a national promotion date, we put it in context who the meal is for, how it compares with other diner options, and where prices vary.
Sources
- Official Denny’s website, app, and published nutrition materials.
- In-restaurant menus and receipt checks from diner visits.
- Franchise hour listings and public holiday calendars for “is it open” articles.
- Reader corrections sent through the contact form, which we verify before we change a page.
If two sources disagree, we prefer the local restaurant or the current app screen and we note that prices vary by franchise.
Updates and Dates
Menu hubs and item reviews carry the year in the title when the offer set changes. We revisit national deal pages when Denny’s replaces a value menu. Holiday articles are dated to the next occurrence of that holiday so travelers can plan.
We do not leave “under construction” templates in the public menu. If a page cannot yet stand on its own as a guide, it should not be presented as finished editorial content.
Directory Listings Versus Guides
The store locator is the hub for finding a restaurant. Individual address listings that only repeat phone, hours, and a short city blurb are directory records. They are not the same as a researched menu article. Those listings are kept out of the main blog feed so readers and crawlers meet the written guides first.
Independence
We do not let advertisers write menu copy. Google ads, when shown, are labeled by the ad network. We do not accept payment from Denny’s Corporation to rank one Slam over another. Affiliate or delivery links, if present, are a minor way to open official ordering the article still has to be useful if you never click them.
Corrections
If we get a fact wrong, we fix the page. Email [email protected] with the URL and the correct detail. Editorial questions about this policy can use the same address. Restaurant complaints still belong with the diner you visited.
